ELTEN presents the next generation of its BIOMEX PROTECTION© series for the protection against twisted ankles

Already six years ago, ELTEN started to cooperate with the Klinik Gut St. Moritz, the Swiss leading hospital for accident and sports. Shortly afterwards, the first products of this successful cooperation revolutionized the technology in the field of safety shoes for the protection against twisted ankles.

Meanwhile ELTEN has improved and refined its innovative BIOMEX PROTECTION© technology. The asymmetric BIOMEX© cuff which is made from a flexible and durable plastic will from now on be an integrated part of the sole construction. This will lead to additional stability and a high level of protection against twisted ankles. The cuff got a facelift and will certainly convince you with its transparent and light look.

The laced boot FUSION S3, the first model of the new BIOMEX© generation, combines high-quality materials and sophisticated technologies with a modern trekking-look. ELTEN and three other strong brands set a real benchmark with this innovative safety shoe concept. Additionally to the BIOMEX PROTECTION© system for the protection against twisted ankles, SYMPATEX®, the pro for climate membranes, and VIBRAM®, the world market leader for rubber soles, also contribute their part in order to make this shoe a top product.

The ELTEN safety boot FUSION fulfils all requirements of the international norm EN ISO 20345, safety class S3. Moreover, the boot has been tested for extreme heat resistance and was provided with the “HI” mark.
As far as comfort is concerned, ELTEN also didn’t make any compromises. The fitting is outstandingly comfortable and the boot can be laced up with ease. The upper material combination (water-repellent nubuck leather and dirt-resistant, hard-wearing Cordura®) makes the FUSION a pretty tough boot.
Thanks to the waterproof Sympatex® climate membrane, the shoe stands out for its high level of breathability and the foot stays dry even in wet working areas.
The article FUSION S3 is equipped with an extremely robust VIBRAM® rubber/PU sole. The sole can handle temperatures of up to 200° C and offers optimal grip on almost every ground. The sole material is not only resistant to oil and fuel, but also protects the wearer from having a slip. The special 6 mm profile offers optimal grip at any time, whereas the soft PU sole core guarantees best possible cushioning.

The ELTEN FUSION S3 is in stock since August 2009. Further models of the new BIOMEX© generation will follow in autumn 2009.
